Peach Pink Hair HELP PLEASE!!by soundPosted 3 years, 11 months ago
Im trying to get my hair this shade a Peachy Pink color
i recently just purchased 1 box ION color Brilliance Salmon and 1 box ION color Brilliance Rose and was wondering if this will work to achieve that color that im looking for in the picture. my hair right now is grey i posted a pic. the problem is i dont know how much i should be mixing and with what? My hair is 2 inches past shoulder length although it was bleached it got a bit thinned but i still have alot of hair . So its a bit hard to tell how much i should be adding to achieve the color i would like? want it on the pastel side. do u think it will show on my greyish hair its quite light i use to also have a violet in the tips which is very faded but in certain light u can still catch a glimpse i will post it here too. Anyone know how much ratio i should be adding im going to use the bleach scoop cup so i can know the ratios.
Any suggestions please??.:)
sorry for the turned photos they show upright on my comp. not sure why not on the post but i hope u can make it out alright

I think you'll need to fade out your current colour first. That type of almost-neon pastel coral requires a very, very close to white base. The grey you currently have will mute it too much.
As for the mix, I don't know if either colour is totally the right choice, as they are both kind of muted and translucent. Personally, I'd do a mix of Manic Panic Electric Lava and Cotton Candy Pink or New Rose. You'd need mostly orange with just a tiny touch of pink (assuming your base is pretty much white).

The gray would mute and hinder the color wanted. Fade out the gray to a near white.
ION is very dense and very pigmented so suggest need a bowl with enough conditioner to cover the hair and then some. Then add maybe a half of a fingernail size amount of ION. Mix very well for 3 to 5 minutes. ION does not mix well because ION is so dense. Move a brush through the mixture to check for even mixing is a suggestion. When applied ION stains color onto the hair quickly, so suggest check a strand at least every two minutes if not sooner. Also suggest probably best to perform a strand test on a very small section of hair with the mixture.
These are my suggestions and opinion.

First: congrats on the amazing gray colour! It looks really really nice :) But, I understand you might want to change it up, but trust everyone who says you need to fade it out as far as possible, to an almost completely ehite colour evenly over your head, to achieve something like the picture. From the pics it looks as if your gray will fade toward a purple colour, and purple+orange=weird brown, so please please wait until the purple is faded out before you try something warm like peach.

One idea fade it as much as you can and go pink, then when it fades you can add yellow to the pink to pull it to peach when you refresh it,

That is the exact colour that I am wanting to go but I'm stuck with green that will not budge!!

Did you ever dye your hair this color over the gray? I have the exact same situation right now except I want a dusty pink
