Trouble shifting a peach colour in my hair!Posted 4 years, 1 month ago
I'm trying to achieve the ever so desired Silver Hair! Okay, to start at the beginning of this journey, I had red hair to begin with. I used a colour remover and achieved an even blonde colour! A little more toning and it probably would have been the right colour for a base but alas, I was too impatient and decided to stick on a mix of blue and pink semi-permanent dye! I wanted a light purple but got an orange shade? I was so confused! Soon after, I did two bleach washes (a couple of days apart, I know it's still not so good but it needed to be done!) and my colour lifted to a light blonde with a peachy shade just above my roots but not on the tips. I've now being trying to shift this colour for about 2 weeks! I've used head and shoulders to try and strip it out and I've also been trying to use a purple toning shampoo, hoping it would take out the peachy-orangey colour! Nothing has happened and I'm thinking of trying another bleach wash, or even just a quick bleach to try and eliminate this colour! I don't want to frazzle my hair though, as the silver won't take if that happens! So I was wondering if anyone has any other tips be I resort to the worst?
could you go a darker silver? like maybe mix ion titanium and a little blue velvet ( or any purple based blue) and use that? you could also try the bleach powder shampoo oil meathod but another bleach bath is just more damage
I have a pravana silver already on the way so would that work opposed to the ion titanium? I'm quite new to dying my hair with colours like this so I'd need to research! Thank you for these suggestions :)
Also I just looked up the bleach shampoo oil method and I think I'll give that a shot! I've never even heard of that, so thank you so much!
i think mixing a darker blue/purple with the pravanna would do exactly the same, I suggested titanium because it's easier to get for most of us, but pravanna silver is perfect
I actually have some dark blue that I could use so this is great! Thank you for your help! :)
just make sure it's purple toned blue, not green since the greener toned colors won't come out as well
