Questions about punky color

    Questions about punky color

I picked up some punky color in ulta the other day because I read on here it lasts longer than manic panic (thank goodness cause manic panic usually lasts a little over a week for me cry) so I was wondering how much conditioner to use to keep it from bleeding? And how when I rinse it keeping it from bleeding into my azure that I have on the bottom half of my hair?

    • Like this so much would look great with the azure.

I have used the flamingo pink and it's really good, I sub it sometimes for my beloved special effects it's a super bright deep pink, I can't actually wait to use my stash and justify getting more, a warning it smells like fruit candy, in case your not into that

OK thanks! But gotta ask a silly question what is 30 percent? Lol like to every 3tsp of color add 1tsp of conditioner? Still a noob at adding conditioner to color. Never had to do it before.

Roughly one part conditioner to every two parts dye

I did then what I knew then, & when I knew better, I did better.

I haven't used the punky pinks, but with their blues and turquoise I usually go 50:50 dye to conditioner without losing depth of color. It gives more bang for the buck. If you don't dilute the entire pot at once, you can always adjust the mix if it's not working out for you. Have fun!

I do not dilute unless trying to alter the original color.

Besides rinsing out the dye and have never been able to rinse to the point of clear water again, so I suggest also lightly wash the hair. Lightly washing the hair will help remove any remaining dye after thoroughly rinsing out the dye.

I rinsed till clear and my nails still get a tint when I run my fingers thru it but it's OK I'm used to that my purple haze did that too. I'll remember the slight wash for next time tho thanks blush
