Faded green to peachy pinkby LaurenlaurenPosted 4 years, 1 month ago
So right now my hair is a faded muddy mint green. Over the past week I've done a few fading treatments (color removers, vitamin c, bleach bath). Now I know the bleach bath was a bad idea, but it's too late to go back!! Green, as we all know, is very stubborn. Any tips for getting to where I want to be? Color correction, fading treatments, etc?

I put rose from ion on my mint green and got an amazing rose gold!

The bleach powder/shampoo/oils method would be your best bet

I would start form a clean slate and suggest the suggestion by @Wicked_Pixie
Green and peachy pink are on opposite sides of the color wheel (ie green and red). So what you are trying is difficult but not impossible. Just tales time and patience. Also by the roots and crown is nearly white, so assuming that near white is the base hair color before dying.
Whatever will be used on the base hair color strongly suggest a strand test on a very small section of hair first. A strand test is always helpful to give a preliminary idea on final results.
Since you are essentially trying to go from some green to some red shade, sincerely wish you the best of luck.

Here's a link to the technique Wicked_Pixie mentioned:
I find it's very good for getting cool-toned staining out, but if your hair is feeling fragile, I would probably avoid it, since even though it's relatively low-damage, it can definitely push your hair over the edge.
As for your end goal, you'll need your hair basically white to get the same neon quality, but it's fairly easy to make a nice coral shade with a diluted warm pink (like Adore Hot Pink or Neon Pink) and some yellow or orange. You actually only need a really small amount of pink, since yellow and orange are both lighter and will really quickly turn red.

I have faded mint green hair and am in the same boat... I would love strawberry blonde, peachy color if possible... Did you dilute the ion rose? Thanks!
