Hair length helpby LukeyboiPosted 2 months, 3 weeks ago
I don’t know if anyone can help but,
I’m a guy, I have male pattern baldness and I’m taking finasteride and minoxidil.
I’ve been using it for 5 months and my hair is definitely getting thicker again! Yay!
But, my fringe isn’t as much and it’s not growing in length which is so depressing, I used to have such a long fringe and I miss it so much. Can anyone help? I’m also taking hair vitamins too
also I used to dye my hair a lot so I shaved it all off to reset my hair. The back of my hair grows and the sides and back but not my fringe

Unfortunately, I'm not sure vitamins will help you here. Minoxidil generally helps improve the thickness of your hair by providing more nutrients and oxygen to the hair follicles, allowing them to grown strands that are stronger and thicker. However, if you've got a region that is already not growing any hair, those follicles may be fully dormant and not able to regrow more hair. Vitamins work similarly, where they provide nutrients that might be missing for the follicles to stimulate growth, but can't activate already dormant follicles.
In the long-term, finasteride might help, since it modifies your hormone responses that are responsible for male pattern baldness and has the potential to activate growth in previously thinner areas, but hormone-based therapies are always super hard to predict.
