Haha, I'm new, so hello fellow hair loving fams! I'm a little shaken up, I've been looking for websites like this to start talking about hair stuff, but I always feel put out and like I'm a weird onlooker because they're mainly of the hair loss sorts. So, I'm glad I found y'all. Hello!
On my recent search through the internet, I've been looking and buying a lot of wigs, and have been having fun on experimenting and seeing what hair colors, and styles fit my face. What I was NOT prepared for, was how scary wig purchasing can be...
In so far I've had a load of fun, I mainly buy my wigs on ebay or rosewholesale, and they're cheap and super easy, because I stay along the synthetic line.
But I got ONE wig, and only ONE and it had rotting hair in the tissue paper?!?!
It was the SCARIEST experience in my life, I never even thought to check the paper tissue before, I just used them to help with storage?! I bought from a little known hair beauty company, HairSisters, which had some really cute and cool looking stuff. All their wigs are so unique...but THAT?? That's so scary!!
I emailed and called their customer service to ask them about it, but APPARENTLY they said it helps with storage and keeping them fresh, so I asked why don't they warn people on the site about that? And they said, they can't warn people about things that they're unsure is going to happen, (despite they know it's a possibility.)
I'm the only one that's complained about it, so says them, and I didn't see anything like this on google when I searched for it, so NOW I'M MAKING NOISE.
Has anyone had any horror stories like this?? Or something even worse???
What exactly is rotting hair? And how would something that is rotting keep something fresh?
